Dr. Rick Thiery is an excellent dentist. I began seeing him for my teeth in college and have added my wife and two children as our family grew over the last 17 years. Even as we have moved from college, to home, to work (currently we are traveling 110 miles for a visit), he has earned our trust in his business.
The gentle and patient hygienists and Dr. Rick too, have won our kids over.

Just wanted to say our family has been very satisfied with our services with Dr. Thiery and staff. When you go in for your appointment we are not treated as just another patient—the staff is very caring and personable. When going in we know we are in good hands to have all our dental needs taken care of. We have been more than grateful for what Dr. Thiery has done for us. We had such a great experience at Young at Heart Dentistry! They made not only my kids feel loved and welcoming but my husband and myself as well! The kids both went back on their own and did amazing! My daughter said she can’t wait to go back 🙂 highly recommend them!
Sheila and Dr. Thiery were awesome. It was my son’s first dentist visit at 2 1/2 years old. Normally he is scared and shy. Sheila had him laughing and giggling from the start. What a great atmosphere. Both were very caring and laid back. I would recommend Young at Heart in a heartbeat!

I just wanted to say that they are so nice to work with. They are honest with you with what needs to be done and why, not like some others we have seen in the past. This is the only place that my wife has ever felt so relaxed going to a dentist. So for that alone, we give a BIG thanks to all at Young At Heart for their hard work and dedication to the patients.

Thank you so very much for making my daughter, 4-year-old Hazel’s, first experience a wonderful one! She was very worked up about coming in to have her first checkup. Once we got in our hygienist was AMAZING! From showing her around the kid-friendly room to sharing with her what each instrument did to take the scare factor away. Ultimately she loved it and still talks about it. We just drove by the other day and she told her 2-year-old brother, “Alex, you’ll get to go there someday. It’s really fun! They brush your teeth & give you treats! AND NO SHOTS!!”

I went to Young at heart Dentistry for the 1st time summer of 2013. My impression of the staff was very friendly and outgoing. I felt that Dr. Thiery listened to my needs and concerns. For the procedure that I was having done, I felt he did excellent work and appreciated the followup after the exam and the personal follow through which is very important to me! I felt Dr. Rick Thiery was there for me and I was not just another file and patient. Excellent Services Rick!
Dr. Thiery and his staff are amazing! My family and I have been seeing Dr. Thiery since we moved to Alexandria 13 years ago. My oldest daughter especially has had LOTS of contact with Dr. Thiery as she was in need of two dental implants due to congenital missing teeth. Dr. Thiery did a good job of explaining the procedures and worked in consultation with the orthodontist and the oral surgeon for necessary information-sharing and setting of appointments. He did not hesitate to fit Ashley into his busy calendar whenever it was necessary for her to see him. I am so proud of my daughter’s smile, and it is truly contagious!
